The Handy Guide to Gothic Nail Care

My nails of course aren’t the best in the world but recently I’ve been trying mightily to improve that aspect of myself. A few weeks ago whilst I was googling for tips on Nail Care I stumbled across a little website titled “Dark Wyccan’s Guide to Gothic Nail Care” and have lived off it for nail care tips ever since. This sometimes sarcastic website was written by the incredible John Coughlin, more notably referred to as the “Dark Wyccan”.

This Gothic Guide to Gothic nail care outlines the preferred and beneficial “weekly Maintenance” including a seven step guide on weekly care. “Nail Survival Guide” outlines the not so obvious repercussions of every day things towards your chosen nail length. As the titled implies it puts forth a detailed care guide for maintaining your ‘not so usual’ nails but also touches on other topics; such as the effect of nails in sex is also explored, quite modestly if I say so myself!
Product Top Picks mentions such brands as Manic Panic and Urban Decay among others such as Channel. He’s goes into surprising detail about specific brands and polish for each common colour. Another thing worth mentioning would be the very unused picture section of readers nails they had sent in. The scarce amount of pictures leads to an obvious sighting of, well, you can check it out yourself!
Though the website doesn’t look like it has been updated in some time, as most links are broken and no one has posted on the discussion boards in almost three years, it does hold some very good insight into nail care that will, no matter the date always hold true (Well, unless science proves otherwise!). Besides that fact, it is the first nail care website directed specifically at Goths that I have wondered across and I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the last!
