This is a store that I had been eying both on eBay and Etsy for a long time, though only recently found their online website. They have completely unique designs that include Victorian neck collars/corsets, bustles, corsets, breeches and even wedding attire. This store has a range of clothes that are extremely classy and vintage, great for a Victorian/burlesque tinge to any outfit. At first glance the clothing is elegant and great quality and that they are, but to be honest this store gave me a few too many bad experiences that I didn’t particularly enjoy.
Most items are very expensive, yes they are great quality and they are completely unique (Most items of clothing are uniquely made out of a piece of vintage clothing and customized) but it’s not for the average budget.
I wasn’t completely satisfied with their communication skills. I bought a lovely Victorian neck collar from their eBay store and whilst paying I had a little bit of trouble getting through the checkout. The checkout insisted that I use my credit card instead of PayPal balance and I quite angrily insisted not (A lot more than ten times). I messaged the seller and after a week of no reply I tried the checkout again. This time it kindly let me pay for my article of clothing and I was greatly relieved. I still don’t know to this day if they had fixed it, if eBay was playing up or if it was my own stupidity.
Something else that isn’t completely horrible but very annoying in my case is the fact that after I had finally paid for the item and leaving them positive feedback after they refused to reply to requests for help and after they didn’t even reply to my apology of wasting their time they chose not to give me feedback at all. To be brutally honest I just find that plain rude. But who knows, they could be having trouble with their account.
On the positive, all the fabrics they use are eco-friendly. I especially enjoyed some of the little descriptions they write in the information section of their clothes. Here’s a little snippet from their website:
“Ethically manufactured : No small children or cute furry animals have been harmed in the production of these beautiful breeches!”
Though probably won’t be buying from them again (unless greatly braced first) considering the amount of trouble and mixed emotions from our buyer-seller “relationship” I wouldn’t advise against anyone planning to. Apparently negative experiences are scarce and I have to admit their clothes are deathly gorgeous, great quality and unique. So buy as you may, but be just a little wary on your way (Rhyme not intended!).
