For example my boy friend got it into his head that because I’m into the Goth subculture, he had too too. I became excited when the thought was brought up and didn’t want him to have any misconception so I ended up bombarding him with the complete history. That conversation went somewhat like this:
Coen: I think I want to be a Goth.
Sary: Wait, but you know it isn’t something you can just decide, right? Coen: Why not? I just did.
Sary: -rants on with masses of information-
Coen: Can’t I just look like a Goth?
It’s a depressing reality to find out your boy friend has no interest in your favourite topic. Anyway, that would probably have to be my worst habit towards new-newbies. I think it’s all a subconscious need to not want all of my friends to turn into mall Goth’s. I’ve had friends that started getting into the fashion and then realised it was all a phase because they hated the subculture and they’ve never spoken to me again after that. It’s a horrible feeling.
