Bird Bone Earrings: An Experience

Three or four months ago I ordered a pair of earrings from a seller. I was looking for some earrings that I could wear every day as my old ones died completely. I found the perfect pair of earrings and they were relatively cheap. This began the long and tiresome exchange about the earrings.

The transaction was relatively fine and I was a happy little Goth. Then a month past and I was getting very worried as the little shipped box on eBay hadn’t even lit up yet. If you think it’s because eBay has some horrible sellers, which to some extent I do agree, this seller also has a website and designs an indie fashion line.

Eventually I got up the nerve and incentive to email her and apparently she was moving and I would receive a free gift. “Fair enough!” I thought to myself and I was very happy about the free gift. After another month past I emailed her again wanting to now a date for my earrings to be posted. I was getting really anxious because the closing date for filing a paypal report was almost past. She told me that she was moving that week. After two months? This really confused me. Sure it could take you a long time to move but wouldn’t you put your shop on hiatus? After another month went past I finally received the earrings. I went to leave feedback about the moderately lovely earrings I’d received and another pair somewhat a like but I couldn’t? I could yesterday. Maybe eBay has a set time frame for feedback, I’m not quite sure.

  • The back of the earrings are very sticky. They were placed on a large cotton pad to be mailed to me and though I appreciate this it stuck all over the back.
  • The metal of the earrings is horrible. The gift had two loops as so the earring didn’t constantly face to the side, and instead faced to the front but the other didn’t. I ended up having the add another loop which barely took any time at all but it was still a hassle.
  • The hooks are very sharp at the end, I don’t feel comfortable stabbing myself a certain amount of times to put them in just for the metal to make my ear feel uncomfortable. While the actual pendant is fine, I’ll be replacing these hooks as I don’t feel comfortable wearing them at all.
  • The bones are lovely and the flowers are beautiful! I feel in love with these as soon as I saw them.

All in all, the product isn’t great but I do love the pendant part enough for it to be worth it. The seller was actually very nice and responded moderately quick, I just wish the circumstances weren’t as they were. The packaging was fine and cost was low. So, if you feel like taking a bit of a risk the seller is here. Be sure to comment below if you’re had any horrible buying scenarios before!

Best wishes,

It's luck that you could fix them! I like the one with flowers. ^^
