Five Of My Favourite Dance Tunes

Don’t mind the title. I’m just in an incredible mood. Surprisingly, since I started my final exams today I’ve been extremely happy to be able to start crossing the big events of this year off my list. And by ‘big’ events of course I mean horrifically terrify future deciding events. I feel so great to not have to worry that little bit less that I feel like dancing. So, here is a playlist of music I love to dance to! Whether that be head-banging or swishy moves.

The Cure – Doing The Unstuck
I love this song beyond belief but it’s OddGhoulOut’s song tag [here] that reminded me to start listening to The Cure again. Lately I’ve been a bit too much about the Punk music, I think.

The Proclaimers – I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)
It was while I was dancing around to this song that I noticed Johnny Depp in the music video. It turns out that it was Benny and Joon (my favourite film) and that’s what urged me to watch it for the first time!

I think this is the version with Joon and Sam. :3

The Misfits – Saturday Night
At first I avoided The Misfits, I was very biased, and it’s embarrassing that I never considered listening to them because I saw their merchandise everywhere. But I’m glad I did because I’m really in love with a lot of their stuff.

Joan Jett – Bad Reputation
I’m not a huge fan of Joan Jett. I loved her in The Runaways but the real reason I love this song is because it’s the theme song (and gives me quite sad nostalgia) of one of my favourite T.V. series (that I actually watched online) called Freaks and Geek. I found it on a bloggers top ten cult television series and fell in love. For more information here‘s the IMDb.

The Damned – I Just Can’t Be Happy Today
This song has been stuck in my head all day. That’s what happens when I listen to music early in the morning. At least I love it! But bobbing your head and muttering to yourself is probably not a good idea in exam conditions.

So, I think I might go dance around to some Cure now! But don’t forget to suggest some of your favourite dance music below.
Best wishes,
-Sary
