Three Goth Trends I Love

This is a post in the series of The Goth Challenge altered by

Some are against the concept that the Goth Subculture, like many other subcultures, has trends. I personally think that Goth has an some trends that are often influenced by what is availiable (AKA what’s in trend) at the time. Following these trends is certainly not something that is necessary and contrary to main-fashion-culture you won’t be spurned for not following them. So here are a few trends I’ve seen and loved:

Skeleton-Hand jewellery

These have been in production for many years but it was only last year that they exploded into the scene and there were few online Goth’s that couldn’t be found wearing them. The favourite seem to be Kreepsville but replicas can be more affordable and just as nice.

Horns

This may be applicable more so in alternative modeling but horns are huge. When I first wrote this I was thinking doe and deer horns but it would go for the pastel Goth trend of devil horns as well. I’m definitely a pro-horn person.

Winkle Pickers

Okay, wrinkle pickers are always in style but there was a period that everyone was wearing them. Thinking about it now, I really want to snag a pair. I’d say they aren’t everyone’s taste but as someone who’s experienced it, they grow on you.

  1. I really want a nice pair of horns! I wanted some for the next Cobweb Club Winter Ball but I think that's too soon now! I want a huge pair, and I don't think I can afford them!

I have skeleton hand hairclips too!

  2. Laura: I personally hope you come across a large sum of money of which, to buy all of the large horns you wish! :3

Also, I've been wanting to go to the Cobweb club!

  3. I love the look of horns in certain outfits, they're just so cool looking (especially since it feels like I've seen just about every other hair accessory possible.)
