50 Facts About Me (actually, probably more like ten)

Man, I really wish this wasn’t fifty facts, since I think that can get really tedious. If I don’t reach fifty, then you know why. I’ve seen a tonne of people doing this tag and well, felt like giving it a whirl.

My blogging has been terrible lately (aka, the lack of blogging) while uni has started up again, spending last weekend in Melbourne watching Voltaire (Yay!) and taking this weekend for sudden assessments and getting my shit together. I haven’t quite been myself this semester but that tends to happen this time of year. I hope this little tag wont be too disappointing. There will definitely be more soon!

1. I’m a Vegetarian

I’ve been a vegetarian for the last five years. I don’t really mention this often because it doesn’t seem too important – I’m not one to proclaim it to make others feel bad, or to make myself seem better. It’s just something that is, and shall be.

2. I can be Ridiculously Morbid

If you’ve seen my Tumblr you might have suspected this, but I’m a morbid person. I don’t really notice when I am ‘being it’ and it can really turn people off, but oh well. Death is a topic that I’m obsessed with and frightened of – and again, something I don’t talk about at all on this blog (unless vampires!).

3. I loving vegetable and fruit smoothies

I’ve been trying out the thirty day smoothie challenge. It isn’t a daily thing yet (close to!) but I do want it to be in the future. My favorite combination has been lettuce and banana; my current is kiwi, spinnach, alfalfa sprouts and banana (note to self: don’t add to many kiwi fruits!).

4. I’m a Chronic List-maker

Have you noticed?

Everything I do, I start by making a list. As I said above about me getting everything getting back on track, I actually made three to-do lists: Friday, Saturday and Sunday (I’m crossing one of by writing this, actually).  Looking through my posts lists are probably in ninety percent of them. They give me a visual picture of things that I wont forget by writing them down; I like to know exactly how much I have to deal with.

5. I’m an Insanely Sex-Positive Person

I’m all for knowing and understanding yourself, and exploration and knowledge in sex. It’s an important aspect for all people (sexual or asexual) and especially with contemporary media it’s in everyone’s lives. Nothing get’s me more annoyed than a person that obviously doesn’t want to understand little things like consent, tolerance and their own simple anatomy.

6.  I Plan all of my Outfits for the Week, Every Week

I mentioned this in my post on dressing to a busy schedule, but it’s honestly something I do every week. I take time out on the weekend to plan outfits for Uni, or when ever I have to get up early. If I have the day to do nothing or a lot of time, I might not but I’ll always have an idea.

7. Self-confidence isn’t One of my Best Attributes

When ever I open up my sticky-notes application, this is what I see:

9. I’m Currently Transitioning from Catholism to Agnostism

This isn’t an issue I like to talk about. I find religion too personal a topic to update people about – especially since I’ve been in a transitional phase for at least a year. It’s a really hard thing for me to take something I chose to be at a young age, integrated into my everyday life and relied on and well, it’s a hard topic. But at the moment I go from calling myself a Catholic to mostly, calling myself an Agnostic.

And to brighten things up.

10. I take Omega-3 suppliments

How is this even remotely interesting you may be thinking? Well, since I can’t take pills very well, I take Vita-Gummies! It’s good for you and a lolly, all in one – honestly one of the highlights of my day.

What are some facts about you? I’d love to get to know you guys more!

I wish all vegetarians were like you! They don't see it as a personal choice they made, they see it as a recruitment, and that can be extremely annoying.
It's also awesome that you're all for sex-positivity: we're all so sick and tired of social pressure, especially us women, with that purity myth bullshit and all.

I live by the 'rule' "Save the best until last". I was told this as a child so that I would eat my vegetables first but it soon became habit. Especially my eating habits hence I eat food in a very particular way mostly(If I have time). Guess who?

I found this list very interesting (but your gut instinct is right, 50 would have been too much). I feel tempted to do a list of my own. I always do though, when I see one on a blog – since I'm a list maker myself.

I looked up your tumblr, and it's great – but I don't think it's more morbid than any other "gothic" tumblr out there. Does that mean I'm morbid too..?

Congratulations on transitioning away from organized religion in to the area of questioning things, doubting things, wondering about things. It's a sign of an intelligent adult mind in my opinion.

And lastly – I love the quote on your sticky! So true.

Whoop for sex positivity! We always need more of that in this world. Also liking your sticky quote – I struggle with low self esteem too, and I know exactly how you feel.

I might try this meme, though I don't know if I'm interesting enough to have fifty whole facts about myself. Still, worth a shot. 😉

I'm thinking of the same fenomena myself. Some personal things don't show in my blog. I even feel a bit bored when I red mine. I also have a very morbid, sarcastic and nasty sense of humour but never showed that temper on my blog. You actually gave me some things to consider, thanks 🙂
You have very sensible thoughts about your vegetarianism, religion and sexuality I think.

I just did a fact post myself! Thank you for the inspiration Sary! My tumblr is NSFW as well. hehe
