This wishlist is inspired majorly by Gala Darling’s recently released book Radical Self-Love: A Guide to Loving Yourself and Living Your Dreams, and along that same line of thought, everything that makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. That means witchy things, flowers, everyday magic, horror films and long baths.
Firstly, I’ve got to have the book itself in this list. I’ve been an obsessed reader of Gala Darling for a while now (my altar inspiration post was also inspired by her writing), and I feel like this book is going to be the perfect mix of inspiration, magical and actually helpful.
Surprise! This list only include one item of clothing. And that piece of clothing is actually shoes! This month I’ve been trying hard not to buy clothes. I already have enough! And I need to start saving money for the experiences and things I actually need.
But then there are these shoes. They are entirely vegan and ethical by a brand called Beyond Skin. They are the Mary-janes that I’ve wanted my entire life, and for that price tag, I hope they will last it!
Tickets to the Sydney Vegan Festival and the Sydney Horror Campout. Okay, I’ve actually already bought these, but I’m so excited I wanted to talk about them! These are two huge aspects of myself, horror and veganism, and guess what? They’re both happening in the same weekend; my birthday weekend! I’m hoping to vlog the experience, but we’ll see how that goes.
Lush bath bombs! My favourite thing about traveling is staying in a fancy hotel with a huge bathtub. I’ve never used a Lush bath bomb before, but I’m super excited to try them out. What’s more self-love than a long sparkly bath?
Lastly, we can’t have a wishlist without flowers. I’m still determined to grow my own pot of flowers, dammit! This apothecary tray by Sister’s of the Black Moon is calling my name – it’ll fit in well with my test tube wrack – and is perfect for combining oddities and nature.
If you had to write a wishlist of the things that bring out your brightest radical self-love, what would you include?
