THE RETAIL THERAPY WISHLIST, CURRENT GOTH TRENDS & WHERE HAVE I BEEN?

Holy hell, where have I been? It’s only appropriate that I return from my little two week hiatus with a retail therapy wishlist because I’ve been a massive stress ball all this month. I’m trying to work two jobs, move into my new apartment, all while doing Uni work, keeping this blog updated, and staying sane. I got to a point where I wasn’t reading anything (I didn’t have the time to read anything), and so I wasn’t inspired to write or create anything! I haven’t even been shopping, and that’s saying something.

Do you guys ever get like that? I’ve been posting on this blog in one form or another since I was fifteen, seven years, and I’ve always been inspired to write something! It’s frightening to loose inspiration, especially since writing is such a big part of my life.

Speaking of writing, this wishlist is majorly inspired by a post I wrote for Rebels Market that should be coming out sometime or another, about this seasons fashion trends that are great for us alternative types to take advantage of! Don’t you just love/hate when your style suddenly becomes popular?

Even though we’re coming into Winter over here in Australia, I’m inspired by all those American trends. Especially tie dye, grunge and nineties style (it’s back, yay!), some Stevie Nick’s style off-the-shoulder tops and, even though it came into and out of style so fast you might have missed it, some seventies style faux-suede skirts.

What’s inspiring you this season? Or is your style inspiring current trends? It wouldn’t be the first time us young Goth’s started such a huge movement in fashion! (Ahem, the more recent nu-Goth or pastel goth all the way back to seventies Punk and bringing Victoriana back.)
