Why am I telling you this in a post with the title “Random things I bought this month”?
Well, sometimes when you actually get a moment to breath you remember that you haven’t been partaking in all the little things you really love. For a couple weeks I stopped playing guitar, stopped working on creating spooky latte art (actually I’d be happy with just a heart to start) and I put all my little wishlist items on the back burner in lieu of buying bigger ticket items.
So, here are the little things that when it really came to wondering what I want in life, really came to mind. After all, it’s the little things you love that keep you sane, right?
ROOKIE: YEAR BOOK ONE
I feel a little too old to be reading Rookie. But I can’t help but hold Tavi Gevinstein up as a weird role model. She’s so young and already has an empire under her belt. All the while she’s still spreading messages of acceptance and self-understanding. Oh, and have you ever read one of her editorial letters, I’m jealous of how well written and smart she is!
GHOST WORLD FRIDGE MAGNETS
When I first moved into this apartment everything was very… white. I can’t deny that I love a white on white layout, but at heart I really am a bit of a bohemian decorator. I’ll show you what I mean in a future apartment tour post.
With these fridge magnets I really wanted something that could a). be used as a fridge magnet to organise bills and such, and b). add a little subtle spook and personality to my very boring fridge.
GYPSY WARRIOR X SAD BOY KURT HALLOWEEN EDITION PILLOW CASES
I mean, I needed pillow cases, and these are super awesome. I love that they’re quite plain but with cute cartoons. Plus, they’re Halloween and witch inspired!
LUSH HALLOWEEN COLLECTION
Okay, so I missed out on most of the Lush Halloween collection. But I was really happy with what I got. I had my first bath in this apartment along with Lush’s Sparkly Pumpkin and it was amazing! Don’t you just love bubbles and orange?
Bath bombs have always been a huge luxury for me since growing up it was all about showers. Whenever I go on holiday I’d stock up on beautiful bath bombs and spend hours bathing (when I should be out experiencing the world). But now that I have a bath of my own, I can take long, thoughtful baths whenever I want. Time to stock up!
What about you? When you take a moment to really think about it, what are the little things that you love that truly make your life your own?
