INSTAGRAM ROUNDUP #5: New Goth Decor!

Can you believe it’s been over a year since I posted an Instagram Roundup? How crazy is that! Over the past year I’ve moved out of my parents house, worked three different jobs, collected lots of new oddities, started playing guitar again (I hadn’t played since I was fifteen) and saw my favourite band, The Cure, live!

It’s All About Goth Decor

In these pictures you can see in the top left my new antique chaise lounge. My cat Spooky loves it to death. And in the lower right corner a signed picture of Pinhead. It was the only good thing that came out of my six months of receiving Horror Blocks (to be blunt). A theme in my life over the last year, that you can see in this Instagram Roundup, has been to focus on trying new things and filling my home with incrediable goth decor, so that I have inspiration wherever I look.

You can also see this in the picture of animal skulls and bones. It’s a picture I took in my favourite antique store in Falls Creek that I visited for my birthday. Oh, and even in the life sized skeleton that I finally added to my decor around Halloween. And my new iPhone’s horror themed cover (my favourite part is the Creature of the Black Lagoon).

How can I forget to mention the middle image that shows my up-and-coming inspiration wall. It sits behind my closet, so that I always have something to inspire me. It’s a bit of a project, because I plan to cover the entire wall. I think it’ll look awesome!

My New Instagram Theme

Pretty recently I got my first iPhone, so hopefully there will be lots more Instagram photos to come. I’ve even been working on dedicating myself to an Instagram theme. If you look @Sarywalrus you’ll see it already starting to form. Less vegan food and random colours, and more Goth fashion and dark themed posts.

Let me know what you think and please follow me on Instagram @SaryWalrus for updates and random spooky stuff all year round!

  1. Instagram themes can be so tricky, mine sort of goes in waves of changing colour pallets rn it’s quite pink and bright. Oh and that lounge is so cool what a great find 🙂
