Caitie and I finaaally went to the Helensburgh tunnels – an abandoned and supposedly haunted tunnel system near Sydney. There were actually so many people there! Lots of little kids making ghost noises, which wasn’t at all what I expected. Don’t we look like ghost hunters, being edgy, in the image above? Searching out mystery and … well, ploughing through a lot of mud.
We didn’t really find anything mysterous or ghostly, but it was a lot of fun! Especially when we realised suddenly we could see our own breath deep in the tunnel! Spooky!
I tried to dress appropriately, which is why I went with this dark preppy look featuring some items from my recent 4th of July Goth haul. I love the esoteric symbols on this collared shirt. It doesn’t have sleeves so it’s breathable. I opted for shorts rather than a skirt because we did have to trek through a lot of mud and some bush. The cuffs are awesome because they are just like a little wrist band that tucks into your blouse or jacket. I could take them off and tuck them into my pocket whenever I needed to use my hands. Oh, and boots are always a must for ghost hunting!
Have you ever been ghost hunting before? Do you have any spooky experiences to share? Let me know! I love creepy ghost stories!
