This outfit has probably been one of the hardest outfits to describe in title form. On the one hand, I’m wearing a cute lacey and very witchy slip romper. On the other, I’m wearing literal mum jeans.
Even with the mum jeans, I think this outfit still looks pretty romantic! These jeans have been a bit of a project for me. I’ve been trying to figure out how to wear them in my usual style. Now that I think I have the trick to them, I’m kind of addicted. The key to mum jeans is to focus on a fitted top and make sure to wear a belt that gives you a bit of a waist! By design, they’re unflattering. But that doesn’t mean they’re only fit for people into normcore (is that trend even a thing anymore?) or for days you want to crawl into a ball. They’ll never replace my love for high waist skinny jeans (oh-so flattering!), but it’s nice to have a different style of pant to change things up with.
Speaking of pants! I’ve been wearing a lot of them on the blog lately, haven’t I? Well, don’t get used to it! Summer in Australia is on the horizon and I’m feeling long dresses and maxi-skirts! Hopefully, I can get to the thrift store soon! I guess that’s what my purchase of this romper was inspired by (or maybe my growing obsession with Current Mood! Technically a lingerie piece (check out the product pictures to see what I mean). But I loved the lace and cuteness so much, I couldn’t resist. I can’t wait to style it underneath a long maxi skirt or dress!
What would you title this outfit? If you’re a blogger (or maybe you just like coming up with titles), let me know how you come up with your own outfit titles. Often times I don’t have any particular inspiration. The thought process typically goes like this: “what do I feel like wearing?”, “how can I make it witchy?” and “is this good enough for an outfit on the blog?”.
