Ahhhhh! I still can’t believe I got to meet and hang out with these guys. Most of the Goths in these images I met several years ago when we all started a Goth blogger community. Although I’m the only one that still blogs, our little community is still together! This week we met up in Newtown’s Camperdown Cemetery for our first Australian blogger Goth meetup.
This was when we all met for the first time in person. It was so weird seeing these people that I’ve seen hundreds of pictures of and read about their life, looking directly at me and speaking to me in person! It’s such an odd experience.
We started the day with a cemetery picnic at the cutest and coolest old cemetery in Newtown, Sydney. It’s known for dog walking, so we spent a lot of the picnic cuddling dogs. After that we spent a while taking these pictures. Most of these awesome snaps are from everyone’s Instagrams! After it all we went to the Sydney Absinthe Salon. I would recommend it to anyone who loves the Goth aesthetic, wants to dress up (see Steph in her gorgeous green and black ensemeble below!) and either wants to try something new or really loves absinthe!
All up, it was an amazing day! It ended with me far too tipsy from half a glass of Absinthe, occupying a tiny chicken shop with a heap of Goths. It was close to perfect.
I’m wearing a Current Mood romper (that’s the singlet part), Kmart belt, second hand Evil Twin maxi skirt and an old Cotton On maxi cardigan (from my We Are The Daughters of Salem outfit of the day!) and the Aura boots from Y.R.U.
