The blue tone, the heavy red velvet curtains and an otherworldly nature of these photographs made me think of someone walking down long halls alone at night in a Victorian ghost story. It’s chilling, raising bumps along your arms like pin-pricks but it’s also wonderfully curious. You never know what you’ll run into in the dark. Whether that is a ghost whispering from flowing curtains who licks at their hem, an eerie feeling that runs down the skirting boards and is always at the tip of your heels or someone like me, hiding in the darkness, with a single peering eye waiting for it all to come into sight.
These images might be a little miss-matched. That’s because I’m working on a good lighting set up, and figuring out if I liked this background. These ghostly images were some test images that I quite liked. What do you think? Let me know your favourite ghost story! For the record, my favourite ghost story is Jane Eyre – of course. I love a good Gothic Romance!
