Fetish Fashion has really started to come into its own this year! Maybe that’s just me, but I’m starting to see it in every store. It has its own section on Beserk, Dollskill, Kate’s Clothing. And even independent designers like Busted Brand (latex + PVC) or leather brands like Creepy Yeha and Zana Bayne are starting to make their way into everyday wear. It’s an odd and kinky dream come true.
When you look at Fetish style photoshoots they can be a little OTT. But that doesn’t have to mean the Fetish style is a photoshoot and clubwear only style. Just like all of the wonderful things in life, if you love it, you can incorporate it into every moment. You just have to add subtle touches.
An obscure graphic t-shirt.
The occasional leather collar.
Even something as simple as a mesh shirt, like I’m wearing here, when incorporated into an outfit with other subtle Fetish elements, can work wonderfully to create an overall fetish vibe. Plus, it’s something all of us alternative types will have in our closets!
These photos might seem a tidbit over the top, but that’s just because of the lighting and full-length backdrop I was practising with. I love some new equipment to inspire me! At the end of the day, I’m wearing a mesh collared crop top from Deandri, velvet corset top from Current Mood VIA Dollskill, O-ring platforms from Current Mood VIA Dollskill, and a simple pair of high waisted shorts from Gypsy Warrior. You could easily swap out the shorts for a pair of high-waisted jeans or pants for more coverage as well!
